Polyurethane foam
Saratoga QUICK FOAM Manual is a self-expanding single-component polyurethane foam; hardens due to the effect of atmospheric humidity.
The uniform cellular structure, with predominantly closed pores, dimensional stability and mechanical properties, are such as to make the product ideal for fixing, isolating and sealing.
SECTORS OF APPLICATION
Saratoga FAST FOAM Manual fills penetrating into all cavities and is used for the assembly, sealing and insulation of windows and boxes, to fill and seal joints, grooves, cavities and passages in pipes, to perform or complete thermal and acoustic coatings, for fasten electrical boxes.
It has excellent adhesion to all the most common materials used in construction, both smooth and porous: wood, concrete, plaster, metals, plastics (except polythene, PTFE and silicone).
Hardened, it is resistant to microorganisms and molds and has excellent resistance to chemical agents. It can be drilled, cut, plastered and painted.
It is waterproof and resists heat, cold and aging. Once applied, it must be protected from UV rays and sunlight.
METHOD OF APPLICATION AND INSTRUCTIONS
- Apply to clean and degreased surfaces
- Moisten the surfaces with water before foaming
- Shake the can well before each use
- For excellent performance, a cylinder temperature of +18 to + 22 ° C is ideal
- Use gloves inserted in the cap of the cylinder to avoid skin contact
- For manual cylinder extrusion, screw the adapter to the valve nozzle, avoiding pressing, so as not to put the valve into action;
- It is also advisable to moisten during and after application, to obtain an excellent yield
- The foam is self-expanding: it increases twice as much, so do not fill the cavity more than half.
- Cleaning the fresh foam with acetone, when hardened it can be removed with a razor blade
